Rain Once Again Foils Plans At ODS…….5/14/11

Yet again, rains have postponed events at the Old Dominion Speedway in Manassas. Halfway through May, and most divisions have raced less than three events. All divisions practiced and just before the Late Models were to qualify, that pesky mist that has hampered the speedway over the past several weeks came through and forced track officials to call off the night’s events. Scheduled events included the Tornados 100 lap feature for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model Stock Cars.

The Torandos 100 Powered by On The Run has been rescheduled for 5/28/11. There will be $3,000 added to the purse which will add $2,000 to the winners purse and $1,000 to the 2nd place drivers purse. Both the race winner and the 2nd place finisher will get a Tornados jacket provided by Ryan Newman.
